Mandu-guk
Dumpling Soup
Ingredients
- 4 shiitake mushrooms 
- 8 dried anchovies, large 
- 1 half yellow onion, chopped in half 
- 2 cloves garlic, minced 
- 1 tsp fish sauce 
- 1 egg, beaten 
- 2 green onions, sliced 
- Salt to taste 
- 6-8 mandu 
Yields 2 servings
Make the soup
- Boil 6 cups (1.5 liters) of water, anchovies, mushrooms and onion for 30 minutes. 
- Remove the anchovies and onion. 
- Add fish sauce, garlic, and mandu. 
- Simmer for 5-7 minutes. 
- Drizzle beaten egg while stirring. 
- Garnish with green onions. 
- Salt to taste.
