Mandu-guk
Dumpling Soup
Ingredients
4 shiitake mushrooms
8 dried anchovies, large
1 half yellow onion, chopped in half
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp fish sauce
1 egg, beaten
2 green onions, sliced
Salt to taste
6-8 mandu
Yields 2 servings
Make the soup
Boil 6 cups (1.5 liters) of water, anchovies, mushrooms and onion for 30 minutes.
Remove the anchovies and onion.
Add fish sauce, garlic, and mandu.
Simmer for 5-7 minutes.
Drizzle beaten egg while stirring.
Garnish with green onions.
Salt to taste.
